Crane Collapses into Sinkhole; Two Construction Workers Seriously Injured

Zajac & Padilla represented two employees of a construction site subcontractor. As employees of this company, they were assigned to report to work at construction projects at various locations. On the day of the incident, they were performing their regular and assigned job duties at a construction site near Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. For one of our clients, it was his first day on the job.

Due to the Defendants’ alleged negligence, a crane that was located at the construction site fell into a sinkhole. The collapse caused the boom of the crane to crash into the steel girders on which our clients were working at the time. Both clients were caused serious and permanent personal injuries.

The case settled during the litigation for confidential sums, following the depositions of our clients. The cases were handled by firm member Eric G. Zajac.
